About Us
Tshellaine Holdings (Pty) Ltd is a 100% black youth owned company that was founded by Mr. Tshepo Ashley Lekgau and Ms. Elaine Khutsiso Phasha .It was formed and registered on 06 July 2012. Our core business is to provide off-campus accommodation to university students. Our company is owned and managed by highly qualified personnel Elaine Phasha holds a qualification in Accounting and Tshepo Lekgau has a finance qualification. Tshepo manages the overall daily operations of the business.Â
Elaine currently heads the finance department and is responsible for processing the monthly rental payments of students and admin of the company. We also have a caretaker whose duties include the placement of students, addressing any concerns and issues that students may raise and also reporting maintenance issues. Our property is accredited with
the University of Johannesburg.
As students residing off-campus during our undergrad studies, we realised that there is a shortage of safe, secure and adequate student accommodation. We took it upon ourselves to address that issue and this was the beginning of our vision. During the year of 2012 we decided to learn thoroughly about the operations of managing and running an effective student accommodation business. We were fortunate to find a mentor who had been in the business for a while and she agreed to mentor us and in the same year we managed to start out by leasing 2 apartments which could house eight students so we could get a real feel of managing our own operations. The knowledge we gained from that experience empowered us to branch out on our own from the year 2013.
We highly believe in ploughing and giving back to the community hence we have introduced mentorship and internship to youth who are interested in the property sector and provide them with training and development and necessary skills to gain more experience in the property industry. We also have a CSI program. With the ten years of experience that we have in the student accommodation industry we have grown immensely in our management skills and have managed the business very well and over the years we have managed to grow steadily.
